Policies

If you live outside of our library district (Salamonie Township),

you may purchase a full priviledge non-resident card for $36.00 per year. (Cost is based on current library tax rate.)

If you have any questions concerning these policies, please talk to the library staff.

Loans

1. All periodicals, videos, and DVDs are loaned for a period of one (1) week. New DVDs are loaned for a period of three (3) days.  Books are loaned for three (3) weeks with renewal privileges, unless the book is on a reserve/hold list or a new release.

2. Patrons may request an item be reserved/held for them, and they will be notified when that item is returned and available.

Items from other Evergreen Indiana libraries will be lent under the owning library's lending policies, not Warren Public Library's policies.

Fines

1.  A fine of 25¢ per day will be charged for each overdue item. The fine shall not exceed the replacement cost of the item.

2. For lost items, the cost of the replacement plus a $10.00 processing fee will be charged.

3. Patrons who have large unpaid fines, or who fail to return or pay for lost library materials, will have their library privileges suspended, or, in extreme cases, may be subject to prosecution (Indiana Code 20-13-31).

Visual Materials

1. Any person with a valid Warren Public Library Evergreen Indiana Card who does not have overdue materials or owe an overdue fine may borrow visual materials.

5. Do not return a video/DVD in the book drop. You should place it in the designated slot in the east door.

6. Any damage discovered by the patron should be reported to the library. If the video/DVD becomes damaged by the patron, that patron will be responsible for the full price of the item and the $10.00 processing fee. The Warren Public Library is not responsible for any damage a video or DVD may cause to a patron's video equipment.
